Bishop David Oyedepo writes on how we can make the most of our Faith

We need  understanding to make the most of our redemption,
(Proverbs 21:16). A great example of the power of understanding is the
Ethiopian eunuch, (Hosea 4:6; Isaiah 5:13). The key to our sanity is in
understanding any subject matter that is of importance to us.

God is no respecter of persons, whatever He makes available to one, He makes
available to all. There’s no special preference for anyone with God and He’s
made equal provision for everyone, (Romans 10:12).

What is Faith?

Faith is putting God’s word to work, believing. God is not a man, He says
what He means and He means what He says. Every miracle is facilitated
by faith.

Faith is knowing God’s will as contained in His word and going His way,
to actualize same, (Hebrews 11:7)

Faith is sharing responsibility with God in the light of scriptures so as to
have one’s desires delivered, (John 21:5-6).

Faith always leaves us with a responsibility in order to commit God to deliver. Any faith that leaves all
the responsibility of delivery to God is an irresponsible faith.

If you are being tormented in any area of your life all you have to do is to build
your faith to match the results you want to be delivered. There’s no future for
an idle man, even in Christianity, (Proverbs 22:29; 2 Timothy 2:15).

You must take responsibility for the outcome of your life. We must stop
promoting a culture of laziness. Active partnership with God is what
delivers results.

Faith is obeying God to prove that you believe Him in order to commit
Him to fulfill His word. When liberty is not guided by laws it is captivity.
Please be guided by instructions.

You must believe in the laws that give value to liberty. Living a lawless life is like living under a curse, (Romans
4:1-4). Every claim of faith that is void of obedience is fake and will never
deliver.

What are the Characteristics of Bible Faith?

Bible faith is a heart-based faith – It is a faith beyond the intellect. Faith is
the heart and it makes you unshakable by what threatens others,
(Mark 11:23; Romans 10:10). Faith is not a make-believe system, it is
engaging divine capacity to deliver God’s will on the earth.

The laws of nature are suspended by the power of faith. It takes faith to be an
overcomer and faith is the heart. The ultimate effect of faith is to give
you rest, (Hebrews 4:9-12).

Bible faith is your access to the flow of virtue which enhances your
overall turnaround. Faith taps into the power of God to deliver your
desired turnaround, (Luke 8:40-48).

Proofs of Faith
Faith calms the storms of life, (Mathew 8:23-27). It establishes peace
and serenity. By faith, you live a crisis-free life. Faith brings about
continuous progress, (Proverbs 4:18).

Faith casts out devils. Most challenges of life have demonic roots and
Bible faith displaces the devil and his demons from harassing our lives,
(Psalm 18:25). Bible faith casts out devils.

To develop your faith, engage in the study of the Bible. Engage other study
resources available to you. Faith is work; working the scriptures to create your future.
