Defeating Your Goliath. Part 2 – 1Samuel 17:1-54

You will always face a Goliath challenge at the threshold of your promotion. Your Goliath is tailor-made for you and you fight it alone (Exo. 13:17). It takes confrontation to enjoy possession! It is battle that precedes titles – new levels (Deut. 2:24, Rev. 5:5). Jesus, the Lion of the Tribe of Judah, does not raise weaklings, you are saved as a sheep but expected to grow up to become a ‘Spiritual Lion’.

Understanding What Goliath Represents

1. Goliath comes to challenge the authority of God in your life and stop you from the throne.
2. Goliath comes to intimidate you and defy the help of God in your life (1 Sam. 17:42,43).
3. Goliath leaves you with no option than a direct confrontation, a Goliath challenge is a personal challenge only you must fight.
4. Goliath comes to threaten your comfort and progress in life. It will not allow you to rest, relax or be comfortable until you deal with it. For forty days, Goliath taunted them with fear (1 Sam. 17:16).
5. Goliath is tailor-made for you. It is designed especially for your confrontation. It is the link that announces you and grants you access to the palace.
6. Goliath is a high-level problem that come with a high-level reward (1 Sam. 17:25,27).
7. Goliath teaches you to depend solely on God, the Goliath in your life is not a surprise to God, He has been preparing you for it. David in the wilderness was preparing for Goliath, unknown to him, with confrontation from the Lion and the Bear (1 Sam, 17:34-36).

That life threatening ailment will not kill you; those mocking you, that you are barren, will soon come for the dedication of your twins. You will rise above that besetting sin. Take advantage of this season to gather ‘stones’ from the Word to bring down your Goliath; and also build courage (faith) by reading and meditating on the Word of God concerning that challenge, coupled with prayers (1 Cor. 10:13). If God brought you into it, He will see you through it. Your destiny helpers will locate you today. You shall experience strange financial helps all through this month.
