Romans 10:17 – So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

How to turn prayer into breakthrough – Phil 4: 6 – 8

The challenges or crisis we face in lives come to reveal what stuff we are made of. Storms or crisis reveal whether you are fearful or full of faith. The key to overcoming the crisis of life is to live ready before the day of adversity, by building your faith before the storm. It is foolishness to get ready in the heat of battle (Proverbs 24:5,10).

You are a victim of what you fear – Bishop David Oyedepo. Until you fear, you cannot fall (Matthew 14:30). Fear is a spirit (2 Timothy 1:7). Our faith can fail when we give in to fear due to the happenings around us (Luke 22:32). The prayer room is what fortifies our faith.

There are three crucial processes or steps to turning your prayer into your desired breakthroughs.

  1. Philippians 4:6 – Be anxious for nothing, take whatever you cannot handle to God in prayer. Prayer is handing over your issues to God while you take your rest.
  2. Philippians 4:7 – Let the peace of God keep your heart and mind. Stop worrying when you have handed it over to God in prayer. If you are still troubled by the issue after praying about it, it is a sign that you don’t trust God enough to handle it. Rest is a proof of faith that God is working it out.
  3. Philippians 4:8 – You move from the prayer room into the thinking room. Focus your thoughts on the answer or desired breakthrough, not on the challenge. See yourself walking down the aisle, going to the shopping mail with your twins, sharing your testimony of that promotion, etc. It is what you imagine and declare that eventually emerges (Gen 1: 1 – 3).

Be blessed!!!
