SUB-TOPIC: UNVEILING THE OPEN DOORS TO DIVINE PROMOTIONS AND LIFTING

In this kingdom we operate with keys. What opens every closed door is a key. We don’t have a door challenge, we have a key challenge. When a key is in your hands, no door can intimidate you. If you have the keys, you do not need prayers; Matt. 16:19.

When you have the key, you are in command and in control. With keys, you do not get stranded in life. Lk 11:52. Keys are the knowledge of the secret of God that handles every challenge of life. Gen. 21:14-17. The best way to help yourself in the journey of life is to open the Book of Life (The Bible). The help from man is for a season, but the help from God is everlasting (see the life of Joseph) Gen 21:19.

Man gives bottle of water, God gives borehole. Man gives provision, but God gives possession. If you want God to settle you, settle with Him. Everytime God wants to help a man, He gives him PEACE. God will not give you fish; He will teach you how to fish. The process to giving you fish, is what is called access to insight, Rev. 3:7-8. The evidence of open doors is that things are brought to you. Isa. 60:11

What is Open Door?

1. Open door simply means unhindered access to a place

2. Unhindered access to transition

3. Breakthroughs 1 Cor 16:9

4. Open doors are opportunities for change of levels when we take advantage of them

Before we begin to see the channels that open doors can come through, we need to see what closed doors can bring to the life of a man.

Reasons why people experience closed doors

1. Iniquity and Unrighteousness. Lk 13:25

2. Ignorance. Isa. 61:1. The Ignorant will always be ignored when it comes to good things

3. Satanic hinderances and barriers 1 Cor 16:9 Zech. 1:21

Covenant Keys to opening the door to divine promotions and liftings

1. You need to understand what promotion and lifting means. 1 Tim. 3:1.

What is Promotion?

1. Promotion is application for more work.

2. Promotion confers on you greater responsibilities. Isa. 9:6.

3. Promotion is a call to carry the burdens of others. Therefore, promotion is a call to selfless service. 1 Sam. 22:1-3

4. Promotion entails inconveniences. Every spread (inconvenience) comes with a stretch (lifting). If you do not want to be inconvenienced, do not pray for promotion. Jn 21:15-23

2. You need to understand that the source of every promotion is God. Ps. 75:6-7, Eph. 6:5-7

Everytime God wants to promote a man, He checks his heart to know what He will put in his hand. Jer. 17:10, Matt. 25:14-15

3. Be competent! You are not promoted because you mark time, but because you are competent. Matt. 25:18-25. Many people expect promotion based on entitlement mentality. Promotion does not answer to entitlement mentality but answers to service/competence mentality 1 Sam. 16:13-19. Wherever life throws you, develop yourself, build capacity. It is your work that announces you. Gen. 39:4. God sent Joseph to Potiphar’s house to develop capacity to manage resources, Gen. 39: 20-21. God sent Joseph to the prison to manage personnel because he, Joseph needed to build capacity to manage the resources of Egypt during famine

4. Be a stakeholder in God’s kingdom. Prov. 27:18. There are two sets of people in every organization; the workers and the leaders (stakeholders). See yourself as a stakeholder to make sure that your father’s business is sustained. Be a keeper and not an eater! When you keep properly, God promotes you, 1 Sam 16:1

5. Embrace the lifestyle of praise and thanksgiving. Where you are today is somebody’s prayer point. Praise will always win the race. When you live a lifestyle of praise, you will enjoy raise.
