Godliness leads us to holiness. It is possible to be holy because the seed of righteousness has been planted into us at redemption. Don’t rely on your old nature, for we have a new nature; 2 Corinthians 5:17. When we give our lives to Christ, we are not amended, we are made new! 1 Peter 1:15-16; Matthew 5:48, The commandments given to us are not grievous. 1 John 5:3.

God is not punishing us, He is polishing us to make our lives better.

What is Godliness?

1. Godliness is having a right standing with God, standing before the presence of God without guilt. Godliness is to depart from iniquity, to depart from whatever defiles. Isaiah 52:11

2. Godliness is to depart from whatever defiles. It is not a message of condemnation, but a message of encouragement; leading you to the path of godliness. God’s word is a mirror, not to make you feel bad but to make you adjust so you can look better. Be joyful at the receipt of God’s word.

3. Godliness means “Touch not!”. 2 Corinthians 6:17, godliness means to be separate. 1 Thessalonians 4:3, godliness means to abstain from iniquity. 1 Peter 2:11. We live in a world where people find it difficult to say NO! As a child of God, you must say NO to iniquity and anything that defiles you.

It is the ‘NO’ that we say that will make us to fulfill destiny. NO! to the world and its ways. We must have the ability to say NO! 2 Kings 5:16; Hebrews 11:24.

Some of the Dangers of Ungodliness

1. It blocks our access to supernatural prosperity. It is very difficult to prosper if your hands are not clean. Psalms 92:12-14; Job 1:1-3; Proverbs 28:20. At the root of prosperity is sanctity, holiness. Sin blocks our access to prosperity. When you are not godly, you cannot prosper. In Genesis 3:7, the glory left Adam as sin came into him. They were naked. Nakedness connotes insanity. Luke 15:12. Sinfulness leads to wretchedness.

2. Ungodliness reduces a man’s dignity. We have been called to a life of dignity and royalty, but we must understand that royalty forbids iniquity. Revelation 5:10; 1 Peter 2:9; for us to fulfil this glorious mandate, we must be godly. 2 Timothy 2:19-21

3. Ungodliness blocks sound mentality. Iniquity is the greatest enemy of a sound mindset. Inspiration answers to a lifestyle of sanctification. God has given us the brain so we will make gain in life, “as a man thinketh, so is he”. But when a man becomes ungodly, there will be no flow of inspiration. Whatever it is that you do, you need a sound mind to be prosperous. Daniel 1:8,9,20; Daniel became their master! Genesis 39:7,8 here we see that Joseph refused to give in to sin and dishonor GOD; Genesis 41:38, here we see that he became outstanding and preferred. Genesis 3:10, Adam lost his mind because of iniquity. Until you are inspired, you cannot prosper, 1 John1:2. Prosperity begins from the mind; beware of iniquity for it blocks access to inspiration. Judges 16:15-17. People losing their minds because of immorality. Ungodliness blocks sound mentality.

4. Ungodliness cancels our appointment with Christ in Eternity. 1 Corinthians 6:9. You will see God and make it to the end in Jesus name. Amen.

What then is the way out?

1. Repentance is the way out. Repentance is the acceptable requirement for forgiveness. Proverbs 28:13.

2. Crave for the enduement for the Spirit of Holiness; we should cry out for it! Matthew 5:6.

Covenant Day of Favour:

There are three products of Favour:

1. Favour attracts wealth. Favour empowers us to be wealthy, to be prosperous. Genesis 39:1-5. Favour is when GOD is with a man. When the Spirit and empowerment comes upon a man, he begins to attract blessings. A favoured man is a blessed man.

2. Favour makes you to be preferred.

3. Favour empowers its carriers to succeed.

4. Favor breaks protocols.

5. Favor protects. The favoured is always secured.

6. Favour impacts speed to destiny.

7. Favour makes you to get things without buying them.
