Focus: Godliness is profitable unto all things.

Zachariah 8:22 & 23 validates the scriptural facts: Saying “Ye, many people and strong nation will come to seek God.” In Matt 5:14, it said we are the light of the world.

2 Timothy 3:1 – 5 (This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, high-minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.)

The above is the condition of the church today and there are forces responsible for these things which is the force of ungodliness. 2 Thess 2:7 (For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.)

The battle for sanctification is a very fierce battle. Exodus 12:38 said that a mixed multitude also followed up with them into the promised land.

In Matthew 7:13 & 14 (Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.). Only a few will make it into heaven and majority of these hinderance are caused by ungodliness.

Leaving Egypt was not a difficult task for the children of Israel because they only prayed. Leaving Egypt is not an issue, but Egypt coming out of you.

There is a difference between Sanctification and Holiness.

Sanctification is what drafts you into the race of heaven. It’s the starting point. Holiness is the process of making you pure and remain clean and fit for the kingdom of heaven. Righteousness is not a state but a race.

What is Godliness:

Godliness means God-Likeness, reflecting the nature and character of God. Its not a state of perfection but it’s a state of tireless procedures to righteousness.

Isaiah 41:8 (But you, Israel, my servant, Jacob, whom I have chosen, you descendants of Abraham my friend,), God called Abraham his friend

Why do I need to exercise myself unto Godliness?

1. Ungodliness blocks your access to answered prayers.
2. Sin of unrighteousness blocks your access to revelation
3. Ungodliness leads to unrest in life. (2 Chronicles 15: 12 – 15)

How do I deal with the forces of unrighteousness?

1. You must propose to live a Godly life (Daniel 1:8)
2. You must be prayerful. Watch and pray (26:41)
3. You must engage the sanctifying power of God’s word (Ephesians 5:26, John 17:17)

Note: Act 7:22 (Moses was educated in all the wisdom of the Egyptians and was powerful in speech and action.). Moses was not a stammerer. No matter how far you have gone away from God, its never too late to return back to God.
