GATEWAYS TO FINANCIAL FORTUNE, PART 5B

PASTOR CHIGBO BENWONDER NWABUEZE

What is Financial Favour?

  1. Operating without any kind of lack. Luke 22:35, Deuteronomy 8:7
  2. It is having more than enough to eat and helping others. Until you begin to help others, then you are not yet in financial fortune. You must get to a point where you will not work to make a living Ephesians 4:28.
  3. God empowers us for wealth on the basis of the covenant of abundance. Nehemiah 9:7-8. Many are working very hard, yet they are not rich, hard work is not a function of attaining financial fortune. It is not your work that sustains you, your life is powered by God. 2 Chron 31:10. Riches is not a product of hardwork, but of God’s blessings. Gen 13:2

What is a covenant?

  1. A covenant is a spiritual base where we commit God’s integrity by our obedience of faith to release His Deuteronomy 11:28. There is what to do to make God send forth His blessings, there is also what to do that will make God withdraw His blessings. Isaiah 51:1-2, Jeremiah 29:10, Deuteronomy 8:16.
  2. God’s covenant is like day and night. Jeremiah 33:25. Covenant is that point of exchange between God and man.

Avenues through which we receive returns for our obedience

  1. Covenant practice is solely about generosity. When you give to God, He gives back to you. Isaiah 32:8, Proverbs 11:24. Whenever you are scattering, there is something prepared for you. Proverbs 19:17.
  2. Covenant is a medium of exchange, God is the principal recipient of all seeds, whether you give to someone or you sow into God’s kingdom. Philippians 4:12-18.
  3. You are not pleasing any man by giving; your giving is pleasing to God, but God will always use man to provide help to his Kingdom
  4. Giving is a test, may you not fail it. God is the principal supervisor of the giving Genesis 4:4
  5. All genuine and acceptable giving attracts God’s attention.
  6. Giving must be guided with discretion, you don’t sow all your harvest as a seed. Psalm 112:2,3,5,9 Giving is done in portions. Eccl 11:2-6
  7. Anytime you give to God, God is always eager to bless you.

How does God respond to your giving?

  1. Through His blessing. Acts 20:35. Giving births blessings. Blessings are one of the offshoots of giving. Deuteronomy 15:8,10. Blessing means capacity to engage in something and prosper in all things and at all times. Psalm 1:1, Isaiah 6:5
  2. By Divine favour. Favour grants you access to God’s fullness. Psalm 80:7, John 1:16, Deuteronomy 33:23, Daniel 1:9, Acts 7:9-10, Genesis 41:55-57
  3. Through priestly blessings. Many are going in life without a priest. You should have value for your priest. Numbers 23:5,8,11,12,23. Your priest are your authorised blessers; who pour upon you irreversible blessings. Exodus 14:15, Isaiah 44:26.

Your profiting is in your priest. Deuteronomy 33:1, Deuteronomy 27:9-12, Isaiah 65:8, Deuteronomy 28:10-13. The blessings of God through your priest makes you indestructible.

  1. Through insights and creative ideas. John 6:6, Daniel 5:12-14
