ACCESSING OUR BREAKTHROUGH HERITAGE IN THE WORD Part 1B

PASTOR FELIX ELKANNAH OLUGBENGA

BEGINNING STATEMENT:

  1. In heritances in life are delivered on a family basis. Proverbs 13:22
  2. In God our inheritance is good.
  3. God gives inheritance to His family members only. 1Peter 1:4; As believers, we belong to the family of God.
  4. As a child of God you are entitled to the inheritance that comes with salvation.
  5. Our inheritance is locked up in the Word of God.
  6. Understanding is key to accessing our breakthrough in the word of God.
  7. We can only access our heritage through revelation. Acts 20:22, Psalm 36:9
  8. It is one thing to read and hear, but an entirely different thing to see. 2Peter 1:17
  9. Only those who see possess their inheritance in God. Proverbs 27:19.
  • We can only realise our heritage in God as far as we can see. Proverbs 20:12
  • We must set ourselves to see mysteries from God’s Word.
  • Until we have understanding from any scriptures, our benefits cannot be realized. It takes understanding to connect to the virtues in the word of God. Ephesians 5:26. The word of God cleans and sanctifies us.
  • Once your understanding comes alive, your breakthrough is in sight.
  • Every truth of scriptures is valid for all times but is only available to those who access it at all times.
  • Your hearts must pant after the things of the Lord if you must partake of His blessings.

How can we access breakthrough by God’s word?

God’s word is a spiritual mirror that reveals who we truly are in God’s perspective. James 1:23-25

What is in the word of God?

  1. By redemption we share divinity in God which connotes dominion. Eph 2:6. As a child of God, you operate under the authority of heaven. 2Peter 1:3
  2. We are born again as supernatural being Joel 2:8. You are a spirit; therefore it is an error for you to keep going to the hospital every day. You are a spirit being therefore sickness is not permitted to remain in your body.
  3. We are not born again to be stagnated in life, but to break limits in life. John 14:11-12
  4. At redemption, stagnation is That redemption is available does not make it obtainable. By revelation we obtain redemption.
  5. We are born again to reign as kings on earth. Rev 5:9-10, 1 Peter 2:9. You are supposed to be a light to your world.
  6. We are redeemed to be prosperous not to be a pauper. Psalm 66:12. Our purchasing power in redemption is revelational.
  7. Revelation is key to accessing your heritage in Christ. What makes a believer to stand out in life, is the revelation of the word of God. 2Peter 1:3
  8. Your title does not determine your entitlement. Just as your bank has no regard for your title; it is your access to the word that entitles you to your heritage.

How do I access my inheritance in the Word?

  1. You must be born again.
  2. When you encounter light concerning sanctification, you conquer sin without stress. Psalm 119:9
  3. You must continue to be spiritual. 1Corinthians 2:14. The light you walk in determines the kind of life you live. Eccl 11:7. It is the light you encounter in God’s word that shapes your world. Isaiah 9:8

Covenant Family Day

We serve a family-loving God. God created the first family in this world. God has not changed and will never change.

God wants us and our entire household to be saved; As a child of God, your life is supposed to reflect Christ, so that your generation should know Christ through you.

What to do to secure our family?

  1. We must recognise that we have been redeemed from the curse of the law. Gal 3:13-14,29.
  2. We must do the work of Abraham to experience the blessings of Abraham. Isaiah 51:1-2
  3. We must enter into a covenant to serve God and the interest of His Kingdom.
  4. When you serve God, you will gain access to the blessings of God.
  • Salvation brings peace to the home.
  • Serving God is the greatest key to having a peaceful home
  • Your seed is a memorial to God, not to the pastor.
  • You cannot be saved and be serving God, yet you lack God’s blessings.
  • If you must have a blessed home, the scripture should be your guide
  • Your obedience to the word of God is what gives you access to your heritage. Eccl 2:26
  • No matter the content of a container, until it is open, there is no access.

Pastor Chigbo Benwonder Nwabueze

  • One of the keys to access God’s blessings is that you must be open and receptive. Isaiah 44:26.
  • Until you yield to the counsel, God will not perform His works. Numbers 23:23
  • There is a place to stand to release and there is a place to stand to receive God’s blessings. Deuteronomy 27:12
  • If you don’t stand in a place of blessings, you will automatically stand in the place of curses.
  • Nobody needs to do his or her part in a relationship before you do your part.
  • Do not base your goodness upon another person’s goodness; do your part. Sow Good seeds.
  • Spirituality is what should affect your character. Galatians 3:1-3.
  • Every area of your life should be integrated into one.
  • Spirituality builds character and everything required to make a home sweet. If you are truly spiritual, you should have good character.
  • The same building blocks of spirituality is the same building blocks of life. 2Corinthians 3:1-7, Acts 11:20-22
  • You don’t build houses without the home in view. Homes are found in houses. You can have a house and not have a home. Every home is found in a house.
  • True spirituality will reflect in a person’s character. 1Corinthians 3:1-4
  • As a man do not become a terror to your family. Let your wife and children be glad that they are connected to you. 1Peter 3:7, Ephesians 5:23-26
  • Three things you need to access your heritage in Christ are; your life, your health and your home.
  • The children you have today may be small, but their memory is magnetic, mind your words, your actions and your behaviour. Genesis 18:6,9, Isaiah 1:19
  • Parenting needs patience. 1Thessanians 5:14,
  • Marriage needs patience. Hebrews 13:2, 1Peter 3:3-5
  • Your tomorrow will never be a coincidence, what ever you want to see in the future, start to prepare for it now. 1Timothy 4:12
  • Be an example in service.
