HOW TO STAY SPIRITUALLY SAFE FROM THE PANDEMIC (PROVERBS 4:20 -22)

A pandemic is a worldwide spread of a new disease, just like the COVID-19 currently being experienced all over the world, that holds the world to ransom and brings the world virtually to a standstill.

Beloved of God, we will get through this because of our faith and trust in God (Isaiah 43:1,2). It is not going to be easy, it is not going to be quick, but we will overcome it. We serve a God that turned the tragedy of crucifixion into the celebration of the resurrection (Psalm 23: 4). We shall pass through this valley and come out triumphant, stronger and better in Jesus name.

A lot of measures and precautions have been given us a directives to keep us safe biologically but the best safety measure we can adopt, without prejudice to and aligning ourselves with health safety instructions, is to embrace spiritual safety.

How to stay spiritually safe from the pandemic: PROVERBS 4:20 – 23

  1. Proverbs 4:20 – My son, attend to my words. The news you give attention to will determine the news you will receive. Don’t give attention to media news that brings fear and hopelessness; rather, fill your heart with God’s promise of safety and exemption from evil (Psalms 91:5-8, Exodus 15:26). Obey social distancing but not word distancing (Job 14:7-9).
  2. Proverbs 4:21 – Let them not depart from your eyes. Yours eye is the gateway to your heart (Lam. 3:51). Your eyes will always influence your heart. Keep your eyes on God’s Word (Psalms 42:5). Be like David the Psalmist, talk to your soul. To keep your focus and faith in God, don’t give room to fear. Keep it (store) God’s word in your heart.
  3. Proverbs 4:22, 23 – They are life to those who find them and health to all their flesh. God’s Word carries God’s life (Jn. 1:4,5). God’s Word is the best vaccine against the coronavirus and it has no side effect. It does not only keep you safe and healthy, it also enhances your spiritual well-being. Go for ‘Isaiahmacine’ and ‘Mathewquinine’ (Isaiah 53:3-5, Matthew 8:16 – 17).
  4. Isaiah 8:12 – Don’t say what they say, keep saying the Word of God to yourself and everyone you are praying for, your language affects your well-being(Proverbs 18:20,21).

The blessings of today will locate you, you are in lockdown but not knockdown, the angel of divine supplies and breakthrough will visit you supernaturally today.

Stay spiritually safe. Shalom!!!

Just the prescription WHO has put out there for the whole world. Advising people in a lockdown not to tune in to news items if it makes you anxious. Seek encouraging information from other sources. Hmm! Like the Word of God!
Listen to soul lifting music and messages. Reach out to friends and families for bonding. Avoid loneliness… Just as you have in this message. More grace sir for more impacts.
