Focus: Godliness is profitable unto all things

Righteousness is not just what we believe or declare but what we do. (Matt 13:34)
2 Tim 3:16 – All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness. We must live a life of godliness

Why exercise ourselves unto godliness

1. Ungodliness blocks access to supernatural breakthrough (Prov. 1: 23)
2. Ungodliness destroys destiny. (Prov 16:18). Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.
3. Ungodliness engenders untimely death (Jeremiah 17:10 – 11)
4. Ungodliness blocks access to eternity (1 Corinthians 6:9-11)

To deal with the forces of ungodliness, we must:

1. Strive to live a godly life. Remember that sin is pleasurable.
2. We must engage in purifying ourselves. (2 Timothy 2:19-21)
3. We must strive to fight every unwanted habit by engaging the prayer of warfare (Proverb 18:10)
