Focus: 10 commandments for family success

Proverb 4:18: The path of the Just is like a shinning light that shines more and more until its perfect. The lord is willing to lead us when we make ourselves a sheep. No one can outgrow divine direction. Kind David made himself a sheep to be lead by God.

The enemy of divine direction is self direction. Jeremiah 10:23 (LORD, I know that people’s lives are not their own; it is not for them to direct their steps). Allow the one (God) that can see the end from the beginning to direct you.

There are 2 requirements that makes for progress in the journey of life.

You must know where you are going. That’s where vision comes in. Your destiny is your destination. Your destiny is so vital that it affect everything about your life on earth. Vision determines your birth place and birth date. Vision is your destination. Its not enough to know where you are going, but how to get there. Its a combination of vision and direction that makes a person in life. Jeremiah 10:23, Proverb 14:12

Self direction can be disastrous. Anytime you guide yourself, you go down in life. Genesis 13:1, Genesis 26:2

How do I access diving guidance?

1. You must be spiritual. 1 Thes. 5:23: Man is a spirit being. 1st Corinth 2:11-14. To be spiritual, you must engage in Prayers and Fasting.
2. You must have a craving to be lead by God. Jeremiah 29:11. Psalm 19:2 (Day after day they pour forth speech, and night after night they display knowledge.). Inside the word of God is the voice of God.
3. Through the revelation of the God.

Whats the biblical proof of being led by the spirit.

1. You enjoy supernatural insights. John 6:6 (Jesus knew what to do)
2. You enjoy divine strength.

What are the dangers of self direction

1. Self direction is the pathway to stagnation and retrogression. Genesis 26:2 (God told Isaac not to go down to Egypt).
2. When you direct yourself, you pay the bills. Jonah paid the bill when he was running away from Nineveh. But when he accepted to go for the preaching, God transported him in the stomach of a fish.
3. When you lead yourself, you suffer losses and may loose something precious to you.
4. Self direction can lead to FUTURE Problems that can affect your future generations. In Genesis 12:16, Abraham took a wrong step to visit Egypt.
