The essence of Scriptures is to comfort and give us hope in the midst of crisis (Rom. 15:4). So the Key to defeating the crisis we face in life is to keep our focus on the Word of God (Jn. 16:33 – … In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world). God’s Word is the source of divine hope that gives potency to our Faith (Job 14:7-9).

Hope therefore is the invitation that provokes divine intervention; so to be hopeless therefore means to be helpless. When we lose hope, God gives up!

Our Anchor scripture is in John 5:1-7: The Man at the Pool of Bethesda

There was a man at the pool of Bethesda, alongside with several other multitudes of impotent folks; waiting for divine intervention to provoke their desired healing. Interestingly, his name was never mentioned (to make it a lesson that is applicable to every one of us). When Jesus came to the pool, he left the multitude, went straight to that man and asked him a very simple question – Do you want to be made whole? Why will Jesus abandon the multitude and be attracted to a single person? The answer is HOPE! Despite his ailment of 38 years, which interestingly was older than Jesus himself, the man was hopeful that one day, God would remember and reach out to him.

Therefore, do not lose hope concerning that issue, God is on the Way! As long as your hope is alive, God will eventually arrive. One way to keep your hope alive, is to keep speaking the Word of God to yourself and to your situation. Keep your hope alive in this season, and your desired expectation will come to pass.
