The essence of this is to give you an anchor to the Solid Rock, as a stronghold in times like this (Rom. 10:17)

Our Anchor scripture is Mark 4:35-41: The calming of the storm.

The examinations of life come without prior notice, but Faith is always our winning ticket (1 Jn 5:4).

Faith does not deny the existence of the challenge confronting us, but is restfully confident in the fact that the God we serve can handle it (Heb.11:2).

It is Faith that turns bad report to good report.

Important anchors for today are as follows:

  1. Make sure that Jesus Christ is in your ship (vs 36). There were other little ships that were on the same sea, and must have faced the same storm, but it was never mentioned that they survived the storm.
  2. No matter the storm confronting you, if Jesus is in your boat you cannot sink! The power and presence of God is above every storm of life (vs 37 – 38).
  3. Maintain inner calmness and not given to fear and unnecessary anxiety. Jesus was in the hinder part of the ship asleep on a pillow (vs 38). The hinder part is where the Captain stays. Be conscious that He is the captain of your life, He will navigate you out of the storm, to safety.
  4. Jesus is not moved by the crisis you are facing, but by your ability in seeking His face for divine intervention! Jesus was not moved by the tossing of the ship by the storm, but was moved by the cry of the disciples (vs 38).
  5. Only God can end this crisis, and He would do it quickly and speedily for the sake of His people (vs 39). He arose and rebuked the storm, and it ceased and there was calm. This season is therefore a period of sober reflection, rededication to God and deep relationship with God via His Word and Prayer.

Calmness is coming, Jesus is ending this storm as His people call upon Him in prayers. Peace be Still!!!

Remain ever blessed! Jesus is Lord!!!
